A bus carrying Kostroma teachers heading to Moscow got into an accident

YAROSLAVL, December 13 A bus with teachers from the Kostroma region, traveling to Moscow for a celebration, got into an accident on the border of the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions, several teachers were injured and the driver died, the administration of the Kostroma region reports.
According to the regional administration, a delegation of the Kostroma region, consisting of teachers and heads of educational organizations in the region, today went to Moscow to participate in a gala event dedicated to the closing of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.

«»According to operational services, today on a section of the federal highway on the border of the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions, a bus with Kostroma teachers was involved in a traffic accident. According to preliminary data, several people were injured as a result of the accident, they are receiving the necessary medical care. The driver died,» — the message says.
The authorities specify that the bus was rented from a private organization engaged in passenger transportation.

The Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov ordered to provide the victims with all necessary assistance, including including contacting specialized structures in neighboring regions to organize support for teachers.
«At the personal request of the head of the region, Sergei Sitnikov, two buses from Yaroslavl and a traffic police crew have already been sent to the accident site for escort. Teachers will be placed in temporary accommodation centers, provided with hot meals, will provide psychological assistance and take you home,” the regional administration reports.
