MOSCOW, December 11 Director Alexander Mitta still remains in the hospital in the neurological ward, said assistant director Gennady Ivanov.
Mitta was hospitalized on November 12 due to deterioration of health due to a previous stroke. The director was in intensive care for some time.
“»He is in the hospital. He has been transferred from intensive care to a regular neurological ward,» Ivanov said.
Film director, actor, screenwriter, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Mitta was born on March 28, 1933 in Moscow. He graduated from the directing department of VGIK, where his mentor was People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Romm. The director's film debut took place in 1961, when he directed the film ''My Friend, Kolka!'' together with Alexei Saltykov. Mitta also directed the films ''Shine, Shine, My Star'', ''The Crew'', ''The Tale of How Tsar Peter Married an Arab'', and the TV series ''Border. Taiga Romance'' and others.
