Labour's record in Wales shows Sir Keir Starmer will destroy the British economy and be forced to raise taxes, a Welsh minister has warned.
David T.S. Davies blamed the «reckless policies» of the left-wing administration in Cardiff due to economic «stagnation» and a collapsing health service.
In the Telegraph article below, he said Welsh voters and businesses had to suffer from higher taxes and worse public services than their counterparts in England.
< p>He warned that Sir Keir, who called Mark Drakeford, the outgoing first minister, a “titan”, would use Wales as a “blueprint” for the whole of Britain.
Tory strategists said Labour’s achievements in Wales were central Sir Keir's Achilles heel and plan to attack it relentlessly in the run-up to the election.
They believe that focusing on Cardiff's incompetence will show voters that the Labor leader cannot be trusted to take the reins of power in London.
Mr Drakeford will leave a controversial legacy after five years in office, with the NHS in crisis and angry over the failure to introduce a 20mph speed limit. .

He was forced to admit this week his administration had made a mistake by introducing a 20mph law that polls showed was deeply unpopular.
“Despite the shocking legacy of the Welsh Labor Party, Sir Keir Starmer appears to be on another planet, preferring instead to describe the Welsh Government's actions as a «blueprint» for the rest of the UK,» Mr Davies wrote.
“I call on Sir Keir Starmer to repeat this description to my constituents, who suffer health cuts every single day.
“As a result of his policies, the Welsh economy is once again stagnant, with wages and employment rates lagging behind others parts of the UK, with Welsh businesses also paying the highest business rates in the UK.
“If you want to know what British Labor will do to the economy and health care, look no further than the damage their partners have caused in Wales.»
The Welsh Government, whose finances are in chaos, has raised business rates and cut benefits, causing alarm among hotel firms.
Wales also recently recorded its worst ever scores in reading, maths and science, according to Pisa's international ranking.< /p>
In contrast, England is now ranked among the best of all Western countries, having achieved enormous success in recent years.
“Failing the people of Wales”
Mr Davies added: “There are no two ways about this problem. Labor is failing the people of Wales despite receiving a record £18 billion a year from the UK Government — the biggest block grant since devolution began more than two decades ago.
“Labour's record is sound be proud somehow? Of course not. But, unfortunately, Labour's policies will be felt and remembered for many years to come.»
He warned that those trying to replace the outgoing First Minister had «chosen not to stand up to his reckless policies» and would make the situation «100 times worse.»
Mr Drakeford had previously announced his long-awaited resignation. month, sparking fierce competition among Welsh Labor to succeed him.
Paying tribute, Sir Keir called him «a true titan of Welsh and Labor politics» and said he had «delivered success in Wales with steely determination and calm power.”
He also praised the outgoing First Minister in March last year, calling his time in power «a blueprint for what Labor can do across the UK.»
Sir Keir is on another planet if he thinks Wales is this is the 'plan' for the UK
Imagine a country with over half a million people languishing on endless waiting lists.
Or where industrial fans run every hour of the day to desperately disperse the diesel fumes being pumped out of stationary ambulances that are unable to offload critically ill patients due to a shortage of hospital beds.
This country will never have this happen again . Any new roads built and educational standards — English, maths and science — continue to lie at the bottom of the Pisa heap for more than a decade.
This is not a fictional place — welcome to the Labor Party. rule Wales.
Labor has been in charge of Wales since 1999 and has since controlled health, council control, education, transport, the environment including water quality and other areas.
Hundreds of millions of pounds have been wasted by several first ministers.
But perhaps the most notorious period has come in the last five years.
Under Mark Drakeford's watch, Wales is home to more than 500,000 people. patients — almost one in five people in Wales — are languishing on the waiting list, with more than 27,000 people waiting more than two years for treatment.
Labor ministers have squashed any attempts to be held accountable for their handling of the pandemic, which has seen Wales' worst-ever death toll, by blocking an independent inquiry into Covid-19.
Labour introduced £33m measures on transport – a blanket speed limit of 20mph that would hit the Welsh economy by more than £4 billion and also block new road construction.
Labor also wanted to pay £1,600 every month. some asylum seekers — before I blocked it.
And to add insult to injury, the Labor Party wants to lavishly spend £120 million of taxpayers' money to create dozens of new politicians — despite health commissions being ordered to make drastic cuts worth more than £60 million. .
To put it bluntly, if you have money to create politicians, you can help hospitals. It's all about priorities
But despite the shocking legacy of the Welsh Labor Party, Sir Keir Starmer appears to be on another planet, preferring instead to describe the Welsh Government's actions as a «blueprint» for the rest of the UK.
This month Sir Keir went further, calling Mark Drakeford a «titan».
I urge Sir Keir Starmer to repeat this description to my constituents, who suffer every single day from cuts to health care.< /p>
If you want to know what British Labor will do about the economy and health care, look no further. than the damage their partners have caused in Wales.
And if you think life in Wales can now get better, you need to think again because things will get 100 times worse, not better.< /p>
All those who are going to replace the outgoing First Minister supported him and decided not to oppose the reckless policies I outlined above.
As a result of the policies the Welsh are pursuing, the economy is stagnating again, with wages and employment rates falling behind other parts of the UK, with Welsh businesses also paying the highest business rates in the UK.
In addition, Wales once again ranked last among all UK countries in the 2022 Pisa rankings, while the number of working teachers continues to fall.
There are no two ways about it. On this issue, Labor is failing the people of Wales, despite receiving a record £18 billion a year from the UK — the largest block grant since devolution began more than two decades ago.
Does Labour's record sound good? so-so? have something to be proud of? Of course not. But, unfortunately, the policies of the Labor Party will be felt and remembered for many years to come.
