Beginning of career and first successesAnastasia was born on March 30, 2003 in Mordovia. At the same time, the girl did not forget her native region and competed in parallel competitions for Mordovia and St. Petersburg.
In the fall of 2018, Anastasia, at the age of only 15, made her debut at international competitions. She performed at the Evo Cup tournament in Poland, where in addition to her there were representatives from six other countries. In such a reputable company, Sereda took third place in the all-around total, competing with much older and experienced colleagues.
Just six months later, in the spring of 2019, the girl had already broken into the top 5 of the country’s strongest short track speed skaters at the Russian Championship. This was a great success, which allowed her to qualify for the youth team. Already in February 2020, Sereda was officially awarded the title of “Master of Sports of Russia.” But she was only 16 then!
Probably, the athlete’s progress would have been even more rapid, but soon the coronavirus pandemic occurred. There are fewer competitions. Nevertheless, Anastasia still continued to actively develop and improve. In October 2022, she won the opening stage of the Russian Cup in the 3000-meter relay as part of the St. Petersburg team.
In general, it was in team competitions that Sereda showed herself best, churning out medals at national competitions. In the last final of the Russian Cup, Anastasia got on the podium as part of a mixed team of two men and two women. She also won a medal at the second stage of the National Cup in St. Petersburg, but that was at the end of October, that is, just a little over two months ago.
