The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Latvia announced an increase in the number of Russians facing deportation from the country
The number of Russian citizens facing deportation from Latvia may increase to two thousand people. This was stated by the head of the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, Richard Kozlovkis. This figure is almost twice as much as what representatives of the Latvian authorities mentioned earlier.
We are talking primarily about those Russians who failed to pass the Latvian language exam. Let us remind you that in Latvia you are given two attempts. In this case, as a rule, very elderly people who have lived most of their lives in this territory are subject to deportation. Whether this will be a mass deportation or Russians will be expelled from the country one by one is not known.
Recall that the day before, 82-year-old Boris Katkov was deported from the country. The pensioner flew to Russia, where he was asked to choose a place to live. As a result, Katkov flew to Kaliningrad. Where he was promised a job at the university (he is a professor) and an apartment.
