MOSCOW, January 29 Anna Tregubenko, the granddaughter of People's Artist of Russia Lidia Fedoseeva-Shukshina, told the program “The Stars Aligned” that her grandmother may lose her apartment in the Finnish city of Helsinki due to utility debts.
“
"The problem is in the form of a debt of 100 thousand — this is in rubles. Because it has become very difficult to pay all Russians in Finland, making transfers is almost impossible,” she said.
She explained that Finnish banks refuse to accept payments from Russians. And local residents, whom Shukshina’s relatives had previously persuaded to make payments bypassing bank sanctions, are now not meeting halfway.
As a result, utility bills have not been paid since September 2023, which is why the property, according to local laws, must put up for auction and sell.
«»According to Finnish law — over a certain amount of debt [over a certain amount — editor's note] — that's it! The system comes into play: the apartment is put up for auction and due to this all debts are repaid «, explained Anna Shukshina.
Anna said that her grandmother was very sorry about the memento left in the Finnish apartment. Fans presented Lydia Fedoseeva-Shukshina with a handmade wall carpet with a portrait of the People's Artist.
Shukshina explained that no one in the family now has the opportunity to be in Helsinki and remove items memorable to the actress’s heart from the premises.
Now the people’s artist lives outside the city in New Moscow, where she is undergoing rehabilitation after suffered a stroke.
