The Korean company is preparing its first production pickup truck, as evidenced by a video with a camouflaged prototype that appeared on the Internet the other day. We decided to imagine what the new product will look like.
Rumors about the appearance of a pickup truck in the Kia range have been circulating for quite some time, and last week a prototype with a production body was spotted for the first time. The name of the future new product has not yet been officially confirmed, but it is expected that it will receive the name Tasman — this is the trademark Kia registered last summer. What will the pickup look like?

While the test model captured in the parking lot is almost completely hidden under a thick layer of camouflage, only the upper part of the cabin is visible. Here you can note the rounded corners of the windshield, the curved window sill line and large angular mirrors. In front, through the camouflage, only large vertical blocks of head optics are visible (similar ones have already been received in several of the brand’s latest new products) and the vertical crossbars of the massive radiator grille. Judging by the video, there will be horizontal plastic linings in the upper part of the wheel arches. As for the rear of the future pickup truck, which is currently completely covered with camouflage, we have depicted a version with lights in the style of the flagship EV9 electric crossover.

It is expected that the new pickup will receive a frame structure, which can be unified with the Mohave SUV. The new product can borrow a diesel engine from it: on the home market in South Korea, Mohave is offered with a V6 3.0 turbodiesel with a power of 257 hp. paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
