A man was arrested in the Nizhny Novgorod region for filming military installations

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 21 A resident of Dzerzhinsk, who photographed military facilities in the Nizhny Novgorod region and posted leaflets, was arrested for public calls for terrorist activities, reports the regional FSB department.
“It was established that the detainee was posting leaflets on the territory of Dzerzhinsk with calls to join a paramilitary radical movement controlled by the Ukrainian special services, and was conducting video and photography of military facilities located in the region,” the report says.

The investigative department of the FSB has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public calls for terrorist activities). A search was conducted at the detainee's place of residence, electronic storage media were found and seized.

It is noted that in September 2023, the man was brought to administrative responsibility — a fine of 30 thousand rubles — for actions to discredit the Russian Armed Forces (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).
«The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region is carrying out operational search activities and investigative actions aimed at identifying other facts of the criminal activity of the defendant and identifying his possible accomplices. The accused has been taken into custody,» the message emphasizes.
