Cat disguised as a baby while trying to smuggle drugs around a Russian city city.
A video released by Russian police shows an officer unzipping a pink children's snowsuit to find a confused gray cat peeking out.
The animal was dressed in suitable children's shoes, under the height of the child and a gray woolen hat.
The Russian Interior Ministry said the unnamed female suspect was hired by a drug smuggler to travel from Krasnoyarsk in Siberia to Nizhny Tagil, a city in the Urals best known as the location of a large tank factory. She was supposed to be smuggling synthetic drugs around the city.
“To avoid suspicion, she pretended to be a mother with a baby,” Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said.
The footage shows police removing several small packages wrapped in yellow plastic from under the hood of the baby's overalls before they found the cat inside. It appears to have been a domestic short-haired cat.
Several more bags were found in the pants of the winter overalls.
The police officer then undressed the cat, but found that the cat was wearing at least three layers of children's clothing .

The cat, also wearing a diaper, was later shown wearing tiny children's boots, sitting comfortably on the officer's lap.
Police officers in Nizhny Tagil found 12 packages of drugs, each weighing about 170 grams, scattered throughout the city, which the woman and her cat allegedly brought back during the day.
Police said the smuggled drug was powdered methylephedrine.

The substance is commonly used in medicines to treat coughs and colds, but may stimulate the nervous system. It is used as a raw material for stimulants.
It was not immediately clear if anyone had reported the suspected drug dealer to the police.
The suspect was not identified, but the Home Office released several images of a weary middle-aged woman wearing a black parka and a brown beanie.
The woman was arrested on charges of drug possession.
