Another premiere of the IAA Mobility exhibition now taking place in Munich is a new version of the Rally electric Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover, it is addressed to fans driving fast on dirt roads.
Ford has a wealth of experience in rallying, which is a shame not to use in production models. The classic rally is popular mainly in Europe, so it is not surprising that the premiere of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally was timed to coincide with the Munich Motor Show. The press release says that only a year has passed from the idea of creating the Rally version to the premiere, but the amount of improvements is not too large — this is not an engineering masterpiece like the Mustang GTD, but the usual high-quality factory tuning.

The Rally version is based on the top all-wheel drive road version of the Mustang Mach-E GT with a twin-engine power plant, the maximum combined output of which is 358 kW (487 hp) and 860 Nm. For the Rally version, this power plant has been modified and received a special RallySport mode of operation for fast driving on gravel and dirt roads, the maximum torque has been increased to at least 880 Nm (the exact value has not yet been named).

The battery capacity is 98.7 kWh (of which 91 kWh is available to the consumer), the power reserve on a single charge is not indicated, the Mustang Mach-E GT with the same battery can travel 490 km on the WLTP cycle. The dynamic characteristics of the Rally version have not yet been disclosed either, for reference, let's say that the Mustang Mach-E GT accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h.

The front 385mm brake discs are fitted with yellow-painted Brembo calipers. The white-painted rally-style wheels are shod with 235/55 R 19 Michelin CrossClimate2 all-season tires. > 1/2 2/2
Other exterior features of the Mustang Mach-E Rally include a splitter on the front bumper, an advanced Focus RS-style spoiler on the tailgate, two foglights on the black front panel between the headlights, a black painted roof, decorative stripes and decals, protective guards under the bottom of the locations of electric motors, a protective film against chips on the doors and wheel arches. The standard interior is enhanced with white trim and Mach-E Rally lettering on the seatbacks.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally will go on sale in early 2024 in the US and Europe for around $65,000 in the US, while the standard Mustang Mach-E GT starts here at $59,995. It turns out that the surcharge for the «rally package» will be only five thousand — by modern standards, this can be considered an attraction of unheard-of generosity from the manufacturer.
