In Moscow, the murder of a man whose body was found in 2016 was solved

The killer of the man found in the Moscow River 8 years ago was recently identified by capital operatives. The Muscovite was dealt with by his wife, who died 5 years ago. It was possible to prove the deceased's involvement in the crime using a DNA examination of the interior of her car.

As MK learned, the body of the unfortunate man was discovered by divers on March 17, 2016 near Ostrovnaya Street. At a depth of 1.5 meters they saw a drowned man. Upon examination, multiple injuries were revealed on the corpse: wounds to the hands, face, as well as a stab wound in the chest area on the right. According to experts, the deceased received at least six blows with a knife. The dead man's arms and legs were wrapped in insulation tape. The identity of the deceased was soon established — he was a 43-year-old resident of 3rd Filevskaya Street. Investigators opened a criminal case under the article “Murder”. First of all, the relatives of the deceased were interviewed. The 39-year-old wife said that after a family scandal, the husband slammed the door and left in an unknown direction. Such situations were frequent in the family. The 21-year-old daughter was not at home on the day of the conflict; she went to see a friend for a day and a half. The day before the body was discovered, the girl filed a missing person report with the police. Ultimately, the relatives were given a strange version of death — supposedly the head of the family died of frostbite while swimming in the river.

In 2019, the wife of a drowned man died tragically. The woman was visiting when the fire broke out. It is noteworthy that shortly before her death, she confessed to her daughter and said that in fact it was she who killed her father. However, then the young lady thought that her mother’s words were drunken ravings.

Not so long ago, investigators resumed the investigation of this old case. The wife's involvement in the massacre of her husband was proven thanks to the family Chevrolet car. As the daughter recalled, shortly after the funeral her mother took the car to the dry cleaner. The girl did not attach any importance to this fact. And in 2018, the lady sold the car. The operatives found the new owner, and experts found traces of the deceased’s blood in the interior of the foreign car. Most likely, after the murder, the woman took the victim’s body out of the apartment and placed it in the interior of her car. Then she drove to the Moscow River and threw her husband into the water.

Most likely, due to the death of the suspect, the criminal case will be dropped.
