Avito Auto experts analyzed the dynamics of demand for new cars in Russia in May 2023. According to the platform, from May 1 to May 24, 2023, the demand for new cars at Avito Auto increased by 57.3% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the number of ads for the sale of new cars increased by 22%.
According to Avito Auto, the average price of a new car in the period from May 1 to May 24, 2023 of the year amounted to 2,920,000 rubles*.
The top 5 most popular brands of new cars in May 2023 included (in descending order of the share of demand) VAZ (LADA), Haval, Kia, Chery and Geely.< /p> From VAZ (LADA) Granta to Kia Sportage: the most popular models of new cars
The rating of the most popular new car models in May 2023 was headed by VAZ (LADA) Granta. The model accounted for 17.8% of the total demand for new cars, the average price was 817,000 rubles.
The second place is taken by Haval Jolion with a demand share of 3.7% and an average price of 2,349,000 rubles.
The third line of the rating was shared by OMODA C5, Moskvich 3 and VAZ (LADA) Niva Legend, each model accounted for 17.8% of the total demand for new cars. The average price of OMODA C5 was 2,780,000 rubles, Moskvich 3 – 2,035,000 rubles, and VAZ (LADA) Niva Legend – 873,000 rubles.
Also, the top 10 most popular models of new cars included (in in descending order of demand share): VAZ (LADA) Niva Travel, Geely Coolray, VAZ (LADA) Granta Cross, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Kia Sportage.
