MOSCOW, January 31Co-chairman of the campaign headquarters of Russian presidential candidate and current head of state Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Mashkov, suggested that he create an ethnocultural center and hold festivals of national cultures.
«Yesterday we talked about preparing textbooks on native languages, preserving national cultural traditions, crafts, crafts, so we propose creating an ethnocultural center, holding festivals of national cultures, such as those held today in the Chechen Republic, in Buryatia, in Tatarstan, in Yakutia. We need more such projects,» Mashkov told Putin at a meeting with trusted officials.
He emphasized that there are many Russians, “we are united, and this should be instilled in our children,” starting with the family, and continuing throughout life.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. At the moment, seven people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered four presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin. The Central Election Commission must make a decision on registration or refusal of registration for all candidates no later than February 10.
