The Engler Automotive company presented a new model of a superquad with the telling name V12: it is driven by a V12 gasoline engine, boosted to 1200 hp. With. Production of this monster should begin in about a year.
Engler Automotive was founded by Slovakian entrepreneur Victor Engler, and today its headquarters are located in London. In 2019, Engler brought to the Geneva Motor Show a prototype of the Engler FF superquad, equipped with a modified 5.2-liter Audi/Lamborghini gasoline engine; the Engler FF subsequently turned into a small-scale model, the Engler Desat, the top version of which has a power of 1,100 hp. Engler says it produces and sells about ten superquads a year. Recently, the company introduced a completely new model – Engler V12.

According to Victor Engler, he initially wanted to make a superquad with a V12 engine, but at the start of the company it was too difficult and expensive, now the dream of the Slovak entrepreneur and his team has come true – the Engler V12 has been introduced, taking the already crazy idea of a superquad to new frontiers. The finalization of the prototype shown in the photographs will take about a year, then small-scale production will begin, and Victor Engler intends to increase production volumes by 30% annually from the current 10 pieces per year.

The Engler V12 is based on a carbon fiber monocoque reinforced with titanium, and metal subframes made of an alloy of titanium, chromium and molybdenum are screwed to it, to which the power unit and suspension are attached. There are active aerodynamic elements inside the carbon fiber skin. The suspension of the superquad is typical of an automobile – on double wishbones “in a circle” with adjustable shock-absorbing struts; the arms are made of light aluminum alloy by forging. Carbon-ceramic brakes are from Brembo: the diameter of the front brake discs is 410 mm (6-piston calipers), the rear ones are 390 mm (4-piston calipers). Forged magnesium SMW wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires in size 2 245/30 R 20 at the front and 305/30 R 20 at the rear.

The V12 engine is located in the rear axle area, its supplier and displacement have not yet been disclosed, it is only known that in the naturally aspirated version the engine will produce 700 hp, with supercharging – 1200 hp. The 8-speed DCT automatic transmission (dual clutch) for the Engler V12 was developed by the Technical University in the Slovak city of Kosice, this gearbox weighs less than 30 kg, and is claimed to be the lightest gearbox of its type in the world. The estimated dry weight of the superquad is 1200 kg. Dynamic characteristics have not yet been published, but it is clear that they are crazy. The drive type is also not yet specified.

Engler V12 is designed for two riders, the seating position is typical of a motorcycle, tandem, the saddles are adjustable and upholstered in the most delicate Art In Motion leather, from which Hermès handbags are made, has a height-adjustable windscreen on the front. The most unusual thing about the Engler V12 is the control: the superquad bike has no pedals, traction and brake control is tied to the steering wheel, that is, as absurd as it sounds, people with disabilities can theoretically ride the Engler V12.
