“The dead were walking home after work”: an eyewitness about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack in Crimea

The people who died as a result of a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Simferopol region of Crimea were returning home after working at a construction site. This was reported by a witness to the incident named Nikolai REN TV.

“We heard a loud sound. We went out into the street and saw that the neighbors' windows were broken, the fence had collapsed. We found a crater in the center of the yard,” said an eyewitness. He also noted that he found two bodies not far from the crater and immediately called emergency services.

As journalist Nikolai Aksenov from REN TV reported, rescuers are currently trying to remove the debris of a fallen Ukrainian rocket from under the hangar.

Earlier, State Duma deputy from the Crimean region, reserve major general Leonid Ivlev, expressed his opinion about the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Crimea. He called the Ukrainian military who carried out the attack on the peninsula fascists.
