A double amputee from Honduras managed to cross the water. was photographed attempting to cross the Rio Grande River with her child as border crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border reached near-record levels.
Maria Argentina, 32, was among dozens of migrants arriving at border weekend.
The photo showed her crossing the Rio Grande in a rubber ring, carried by a group of men. Her daughter Natalie Virginia was also carried across a body of water at the border crossing in Eagle Pass, Texas.

After the crossing, the couple were reunited as the baby was seen sitting on his mother's lap as they rested near a gap in the barbed wire fencing.
Thousands of people have arrived in recent days at various Texas border posts with few belongings, fleeing political regimes or seeking economic opportunity.
