MOSCOW, February 5. The seaports of the Leningrad region have declared a high alert mode due to possible attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is stated on the website of the Administration of Seaports of the Baltic Sea.
““The basis for introducing the regime is the increased level of man-made emergencies from attacks by UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the order says.
The Ministry of Transport was also instructed make a partial blackout of the administrative buildings of the port captains service.
On the morning of January 21, a fire occurred at the Novatek gas terminal, located next to the Sea Trade Port in Ust-Luga. The company later reported that the technological process at the terminal was suspended; the fire, according to preliminary data, occurred due to external influences.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly shell the central and border regions of Russia, carry out drone strikes and carry out sabotage. In a number of regions bordering Ukraine, an increased level of terrorist threat has been introduced. It involves strengthening the work of law enforcement agencies, conducting searches at train stations and in crowded places, placing medical organizations on high alert, and strengthening the security of strategic facilities.
