MOSCOW, February 5 Roscosmos cosmonauts sent about 40 pages to the developers of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) with wishes to eliminate the shortcomings noticed on the ISS in the future project, said the head of the state corporation Yuri Borisov in broadcast on Rossiya-24.
«I once, too, together with him (cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko — ed.) carried out a flight to the ISS — albeit a virtual one. For forty minutes he gave me a tour of the entire Russian segment and drew attention to those nuances that are advisable in the future project to correct. About 40 pages of comments and wishes were sent by the cosmonauts following the results of their flight,» Borisov said.
According to him, the developers and designers of the Russian orbital station are now carefully studying these recommendations.
The first ROS module is planned to be launched in 2027, and five years later the construction of the station in orbit will be completed. The main feature of the new station will be its orbit, its inclination will be 96.8 degrees. Due to this, ROS will see the entire territory of Russia, which is impossible from the ISS flying in an orbit with an inclination of 51.6 degrees.
