KAZAN, February 11 A young man in a BMW, driving a car without the appropriate documents, ran over three pedestrians in the center of Kazan, one of the victims was hospitalized with injuries, reports the traffic police regiment of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Kazan in the Telegram channel.
“Yesterday, at approximately 21.31, in front of the house … 1a on Nikolai Ershov Street, opposite the Korston GRC, a 25-year-old driver (a native of the Republic of Bashkortostan), driving a BMW X6M car that was not registered in the prescribed manner … hit an obstacle – an “island” security,” after which he hit a pedestrian (a girl born in 2003), who was crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing when the traffic light was green,” the report says.
After hitting the pedestrian, the car also collided with a Nissan car, which began to move from the edge of the roadway after passengers had boarded, the department added.
According to the traffic police, as a result of the accident, the injured girl was hospitalized with a diagnosis of brain contusion and fracture of the zygomatic bone. In addition, information was received from the medical institution that as a result of the incident, two more pedestrians sought medical help: a young man born in 2001 (diagnosed with a bruise of the soft tissues of the knee joints) and a girl born in 1995 (bruise of the soft tissues of the head, sprain of the cervical spine) , who were released after examination by doctors, the department noted.
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, the BMW driver suffered a closed dislocation of the right humerus.
The traffic police clarifies that seven reports of administrative offenses were drawn up against the driver: the car was not registered in the prescribed manner, license plates were confiscated, the driver drove the car without documents, the front side windows were tinted, the car drove through a prohibiting traffic light, violated the location on the roadway, damaged elements of the street road network, there was no compulsory motor liability insurance policy.
The car is placed in a specialized parking lot. The driver was sent for a detailed medical examination.
