Kirkorov's press secretary denied reports that his accounts were blocked

MOSCOW, February 10 Press secretary of singer Philip Kirkorov Ekaterina Uspenskaya denied media reports about the blocking of his accounts.
As the REN TV channel reported with reference to the Federal Tax Service database, the artist’s accounts in three banks were blocked at the request of the tax department.
“This is not true. The accounts are not blocked,” said Uspenskaya.

At the end of January it became known that tax arrears of almost eight million rubles had been collected from Kirkorov. In addition, he is one of the defendants in a lawsuit for a billion rubles against the participants of the so-called naked party, organized by blogger Anastasia Ivleeva and which caused a powerful wave of indignation in society. The plaintiff – a representative of the “religious brotherhood” Morozov-Zlatoust” – demands 200 million rubles from Ivleeva, Kirkorov, rapper Vacío, Lolita and Dima Bilan.

In early January, the Russian Authors' Society demanded two million rubles from Kirkorov for non-payment of remuneration to the authors of songs that he performed in the Kremlin Palace in April 2022. This claim was registered in the Moscow Arbitration Court.
