MOSCOW, February 22 It is not easy to transfer critical infrastructure facilities to Russian software before 2025, but the threat is serious, this topic needs to be promoted, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
«As for the protection of our critical technologies, our elements of critical information infrastructure, this is the most important task. It was set quite a long time ago, we need to move faster. You know, I head the commission on digital sovereignty, on critical information technologies. There is the goal is to transfer all software related to critical infrastructure to Russian standards by 2025. The task is not easy, because we don’t have everything, plus there is a conservatism of thinking in companies, such as that foreign is better than ours, and therefore give us more on it work,» Medvedev said.
«But everyone was convinced that such threats exist after the way Western countries behaved, for example, with ordinary cars. People bought and bought cars from them, then bam, there is no update. But this is just a car or some other equipment, and when it comes to power plants, elements of other infrastructure, transport and others, this is already a very serious threat. Therefore, we will definitely promote this topic,» Medvedev emphasized.
